Outside & Inside the Edo Museum
This is a piece from the roof peak of an Edo building.
The mark is not a Nazi Swastika; the outer spokes rotate in the opposite direction, anti-clockwise. The version below, (a Juumanji) has a long tradition (greatly predating the Nazis) of being used as symbol to represent Buddhist temples in Japan, and it is now used on maps for that purpose.
